The corporations cannot be wrong, they can only be wronged?

 

corporations can and almost always are wrong. managers making what should be minimum wage to run the individual locations don't deserve your ire

 

What ire? I explained the situation and they gave me free tickets for a future movie. This idea that everyone should always take what the corporation gives them is a worrying trend. We can recognize a gulf between YouTube videos of people freaking out and people getting money back for a bad product.

 

I finally watched Shawshank. It was good!

 

I’ve seen Shawshank probably 20+ just watching it with my dad or on tv in college.

 

If you've had TNT in the last 2 decades you've probably seen its 20+ times

 

I’ve seen parts but have always been opposed to censored versions. I kept telling myself I’d buy the DVD

 

i don't love it. it's fine.

 

There was really nothing to dislike about it outside of predictability (caused by it becoming so engrained in pop culture) and typical shoddy King writing that I am used to. Not one of my favorites but I wish I had seen it earlier in life

 

the writing is my issue, yes. also the length/plodding middle.

 

I meant more the dialogue, not the pacing. I didn’t feel it dragged all that much. If anything, tighten up the ending a bit

 

It is an okay movie, just not a "greatest of all time according to IMDb" movie.

 

That’s where I’m at. Right now I am watching Horror House at Highway 5 and am fully engaged. On par with Shawshank

 

It’d cool to create a Chorus Canon. There are definitely blindspots that we all have. It could be a stickied thread for Albums (the top 250 albums we just voted on maybe), Films, Shows and Books?

It’d be fun, but what’s the over/under of Nolan films in the top ten? At least three, right?

 

On this site maybe 1? If that. Doesn't seem like people are that crazy for him on here. Maybe he'd show up through being a popular choice even if he wasn't that high on many lists.

 

that’s crazy. people love him here. go into any of the threads for his movies or most of the threads for other big filmmakers. people on here like him more than any other site i’ve been on besides imdb

inception and the dark night definitely end up on the list, with potential for another

 

It seems like people don't like him because every time his name is mentioned we must be reminded that he's overrated. The Dark Knight will probably be on it. Dunkirk definitely should. Nothing at all wrong with that

 

there is definitely a lot wrong if those two movies are considered in the top ten of all movies ever. that’s insane.

 

Completely glossed over Nathan saying top 10 lol. Thought he was just speaking generally.
