When I watched Raising Arizona for the first time I thought that the scene of John Goodman breaking out of prison during the thunderstorm was a clear spoof on Shawkshank. Except it came out years before Shawshank

 

Shawshank is a good enough movie that I wouldn’t scoff at someone saying it’s their favorite or whatever. But overall, it’s “just” pretty good, imo

 

I knew a guy that said it was one of the best movies ever made. We don't hang out anymore.

 

saw Toshiro Mifune trending on twitter and my immediate thought was that he has/died of coronavirus and not that there’s no need to worry because he actually died over 20 years ago

rewatched Seven Samurai for the first time in like 7 years, gonna find something else of his on Criterion I haven’t seen to celebrate

 

You won’t have to look far, they added an entire collection today and it’s the first thing on the home page!

 

It's my fault for following these outlets, but I don't need to see a separate headline for each delayed production. We can all assume that most, if not all, productions have been or will be delayed.

Obviously Atlanta is a critical success and Glover is well known but I have very little idea of how mainstream the show is considered

 

it's more surprising to me considering all of FX's comedy canon, and not just Atlanta

On the flip side, Atlanta‘s primary network is flagship FX, while Dave is a FXX original. The comedy-centered offshoot network has a slightly smaller reach and lower profile, though Dave’s tally includes repeats on FX.
