Juno is better than those movies based on Jennifer Garner’s performance alone.

Yeah, Juno is definitely just as much of its time as those, but it’s so much better than both even now that the comparison doesn’t hold. But Boondock Saints has always been absolute trash.

 

Juno is far better if for no other reason than it didn't affect a certain breed of white dudes the same as the other two.

Juno was a defining moment in my life. I saw just how cynically my interests could be used against me. I was still a big Arrested Development fan and my band used to rip off of the Moldy Peaches all the time. I wasn't used to being pandered to like that.

 

His character is such an unbelievable creep that it at least is clear about that kind of guy not being a hero compared to a lot of those other horribly dated movies.

I started watching Magnolia (the PTA movie), got 45 minutes in, realized I didn't give a shit about any of the characters, and bailed. this probably makes me a bad movie fan. oh well

 

Man I was all in on that movie from the opening narration, then the introduction to Cruise cemented it

 

Magnolia is great. It is indulgent, but honest.

 

It's been years since I've seen Juno but I can't really think of any reasons it would age badly besides the horrible slang in the dialogue that was even bad when it came out

 

This looks amazing

 

I’m excited to see Ruffalo do something good again. Feels like all he does is Marvel shit.

UCB Could Be Facing ‘the Beginning of the End’ Amid Coronavirus

I loved the UCB TV show and theaters and community, it’s responsible for so much community and so many of our current best comedians, but it sounds like UCB as we know it, at least, won’t survive this, but that leadership is responsible for a lot of terrible management and it may have been an inevitable downfall accelerated by Corona.

Disappointed in the UCB4, particularly Walsh and Poehler (as much as I love his comedy and podcast appearances, Besser has always been an ass) That Daryl LaFountain guy seems like a completely inept piece of shit

 

I loved my 3/4 year involvement with UCB. I have seen them get a lot of flack for a lot of reasons which is too bad. If it makes them feel any better, most of the people I know who were laid off was via text or email so
