The pure joy I get every time John Wick is on TV (which is like daily at this point) is so wholesome

 

I watched Carol (on IMDB TV of all streaming services! ha) and thought it was really good. Just like Wonderstruck, I was completely enamored with Carter Burwell's score. I guess I should check out more Todd Haynes movies.

Ooh hard disagree on that one. But I’m a huge Todd Haynes fan.

 

Dark Waters was fine, but it is not among his best.

 

Agreed. But worth it for Bill Pullman's performance alone.

I was looking up their Theranos movie and omg

 

I...don't understand the plot of that first movie.

 

Me either, but I love it lol

 

Ok so I'm guessing it's something like, they discover it coming, but no one believes them.

 

I always thought the idea of a movie about a meteor heading towards earth would be cool. Dealing with the concept of how do you choose who gets saved on a spaceship or bunkers, willingly deciding who lives or dies, etc... could be interesting.

 

Hahaha yeah, well... a BETTER movie lol

 

Armageddon is part of the Criterion collection. Put some respect on its name!

 

I think the whole bunker and who lives and who dies idea was in Deep Impact.

Another end of the world flick that comes to mind is Melancholia

 

Melancholia is amazing.

 

Melancholia gives me fucking anxiety.
