I love MacGruber but think both WW movies are funnier

And I meant SNL movie in that the character originated on SNL, not just featured SNL actors.

MacGruber and Night at the Roxbury are top Saturday Night Live movies.

I was glad that Reverse Shot stood up for The Dead Don't Die. They also succinctly described what is so odd about this A24 adoration by so many people.

They hated Jojo Rabbit for different reasons than I did. By the time the girl in hiding shows up I had seen enough and was just muscling through it.

    That’s his best comedy, imo

Gonna echo the Night at the Roxbury as the best. That movie doesn’t get enough love.

Glad Reverse Shot and Richard Brody have stood for the Dead Don’t Die. One of the year’s most underrated/misunderstood

I watch A Night at the Roxbury a few times a year when I show it to students. It is a classic.

It kills me to see the creator of The Wire and Treme act like a complete fool on social media on a regular basis, including calling a black woman a Russian bot for criticizing a politician he likes. It is like the guy who made those shows is a different person.

I only see things from him when they get posted here, but they have all been incredibly gross and disappointing. That interview where he doubled down on Franco being in The Deuce and almost proudly admitted to creating and maintaining an unsafe work environment was enough for me to write him off forever.

Since I was a little kid it always weirded me out that the backs of the porno mags Billy Madison gets out of the mail have bright solid color backs, instead of a picture/advertisement back page. Really takes me out of the movie

  19. This is unfortunate. I thought Primer and Upstream Color were pretty unique. The industry isn't accommodating for smaller filmmakers though, so I get it.

Maybe there’s another version of him running around that is still into making movies.

I have to watch Stand by Me 3 times a day with my classes. I've had to for the last three years, and I still really don't think it gets old.

I did Gatsby four years ago. I only really appreciated it because the students who didn't understand the book at all had it start to click.

Doing Avatar two years in a row as an allegory for the Scramble for Africa was really rough. I miss teaching World History but I wouldn't watch that one again.
