True, the fact that his best known work was adapted by a woman and made better than anything he has ever done is pretty delicious.

 

I'm not going to debate Ellis' current bullshit because I think he's a garbage person who spews horrible nonsense to get a rise out of people, but the original book is still very clearly satire.

I still consider him my favorite author but yeah, he fucking sucks now.

 

You'd have to pay me to sit through either of those.

 

I really have come to love Gaga and I adore Sam Elliott but of ALL the movies to remake, whhhyyyyy pick one that has already been done like a dozen times. It's insane.

 

I mean it hasn't been done in 40 years and I think a lot of people like myself haven't seen the original, there are way more egregious remakes and reboots

I had no idea A Star Is Born was a remake. I think it looks like it could be a decent movie. It's getting good reviews too so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Spider-Man is a rare time when the word egregious is necessary. Doesn’t mean that this remake needs to happen either though. It’s not like it’s such a part of the culture that every generation needs the story or something.

I saw one of the Garfield ones in the theater and I have no idea why.

 

It's not that I think Bradley cooper sucks or anything but I've literally never liked a single movie hes been in. Limitless maybe? He just seems like the prototypical guy when movie execs sit in a room to make casting choices.

 

The only thing I’ve actively liked him in was Wet Hot American Summer.

 

His voice acting in Guardians is pretty stellar. Not to mention Jack & Bobby was such an underrated show. Wedding Crashers is great and Yes Man isn't so bad.
