I couldn’t believe Shutter Island got the reception it did. I don’t try to figure out endings while watching movies, but I instinctually knew what was going to happen and assumed that he wouldn’t make a movie with such a predictable ending, but yeah, he did.

Rock of Ages is a good call, going in I was very down with Tom Cruise playing an 80s hair metal star even thinking the movie was probably a mess, and boy it was... what it was.

I think Take Me Home Tonight came out around the same time and at that time I was just seeing every single movie that came out (young, fresh faced film school student that I was) and that and What's Your Number I remember being like... why did I see those.

I couldn’t get over figuring it out fifteen minutes into the movie.

I don’t remember much about this movie, but I do remember that I used to see a movie like every week in high school and I’m assuming Shutter Island got pushed back because we literally saw the trailer for it in front of every movie for like a year. It got to the point where it became in on going gag and when it came on we would each recite a portion of it. Then the movie came out and we were like mehhhh but the buildup was amazing lol

Yeah, for sure, I get that. It’s well made, but that just stuck in my craw and ruined it for me.

The thing about Fist Fight is that it's not even terrible in any kind of fascinating sort of way, so it doesn't even have that going for it. It's not so bad it's good. It's not unintentionally hysterical like The Room. It didn't waste nearly billions of dollars like that one Eddie Murphy in space movie. And it's not like whatever The Emoji Movie is as far as needing to see just how awful it is. It's just a piece of shit comedy that could only get someone like me to see it (albeit for free) because of all the quality people in it like Charlie Day, Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, Dean Norris, Kumail Nanjiani, etc., even if those actors are more known for TV than films. It's thoroughly horrendous, but there's a reason most everyone forgot about it by the time it was in theaters for a whole week

I almost walked out of paranormal activity 4 cause it was boring.

Tom cruise is sad to me. Like everything I've heard is that he's super nice and charming and then you know there's the dangerous cult thing.

Yeah I would love to be friends with Tom Cruise but I feel like he'd get mad at my opinions on Scientology (based on facts about Scientology)

Cults is such a weird line for me. Like they recruit people into cults who are sad or lonely or confused etc and I really emphasize with that, but then when the cult they are part of (and in Tom's case I think he's fairly high up?) Is hurting people then it's like ok now they need to be accountable also, but then with something like scientology where they threaten and and encourage ur family to cut ties with u and use your secrets against you if u try to leave... idk it's just sad for everyone

I’m probably the only person in the world who went to see that Ali Larter/Beyoncé movie Obsessed for a second time, but then halfway through I decided the world record wasn’t worth it and left.

Now if we’re talking about falling asleep in the theatre, Blade Runner 2049 knocked me out

Your Highness was one of the more bad (if that's grammatically correct??) movies I saw in theaters. Maybe I was too young when I saw it but I remember all I wanted to do was walk out
