Anyone use Filmstruck? Do they do a decent job of adding new Criterion stuff over time or is it pretty stagnant?

Constant. It’s the best subscription service available IMO.

 

Been planning to get a year of it and I just keep forgetting. It will help ease the pain of some missed BN sale pickups. There are a few releases I love that they don’t have streaming which sucks though.

 

Yes! It was pretty funny from what I remember.

 

I feel pretty vindicated for never using this.

I don't think anyone thought the business model was sustainable but it was nice saving hundreds of dollars

 

Jean-Marc Vallee is much better with tv than movies.

 

I would have loved MoviePass years ago when I would see dozens of movies in theaters. I haven't been to a theater in months, though.

Smalls, an iconic, essential character, didn’t even live in the same town as the other kids until the movie starts. What sort of prequel could there be?? Is it going to be about Old Man Myrtle’s ballplaying days with Babe Ruth? Will Dennis Leary cameo? Will it be about Hercules as a puppy?

 

Straight to DVD and/or streaming service, never to be heard from again.
