it's too bad because Dove Cameron as Bubbles is inspired casting

 

i think i read the pilot was filmed and rejected, leading them to try to rework the script before one of the leads exited and the whole project was scrapped. there are two scripts for the pilot out there, but i'm not sure if they're two drafts written before filming or if one had some reworked material

The actual trailer was tedious and felt like it would never end. Like it aimed for “intentional camp” and miscalculated terribly. But, washed up hot mess Bubbles played by Dove Cameron, with Diablo Cody writing, should be something! That’s a good joke.

 

hasn’t this been finished and they’ve been doing showings for like two years now? how does this still not have a release date

 

Indie film is hard, I hear

 

but it’s done and acquired already. all they have to do is pick a date and put it out.

 

Just need a place to say that the movie MouseHunt absolutely slaps.

Is something weird going on in the indie film market? Very few of the most hyped Sundance films have found distributors yet. A few did, but there was almost no big bidding war news coming out of Sundance this year.

Bill Condon's Kiss Of The Spider-Woman which was getting Oscar buzz still no US distributor. Atropia which won the grand jury prize still no distribution. Plainclothes which won the ensemble cast prize still nothing. The Prime Minister doc about Jacinda Adern which won the World Documentary prize no distribution. There are a bunch of them.

 

From the Big Picture and people I follow on LB, it just seemed like a muted Sundance in general? Even the biggest movies seemed to get pretty mixed reviews.

 

Twinless which won the audience award and i heard the most hype for out of the US competition I think already had a deal with Paramount's new indie subsidiary Republic Pictures so at least there is that.

 

That's the only buzz I read on social media from Sundance was Twinless and apparently Dylan O'Brien's performance is awards worthy

 

Everytime I go in here to post news I have to check first if Azz beat me to it and every single time they do.
