Updated the Moviepass app today and it logged me out. Went to login and it said it "failed to retrieve my subscription status." Has anyone else ever had this happen? Maybe they're mad at me for buying my Avengers ticket on Wednesday and going today haha. But it's still frustrating.

 

Thriller scene in 13 going on 30 is one of the best scenes of a movie ever

 

I have a bunch of weird promotional swag from movies that I got from living/working in LA for awhile, but the weirdest one is the 13 Going on 30 branded sleep mask.

 

Rewatching Sweet Home Alabama. So far it's aging questionably in this current political climate.

 

Wow she just outed a childhood friend this movie is aging worse by the second and the theme of Republican down to earth charming southerners knocking down the uptight Yankee girl is... interesting

 

Jumped on the HBO for five bucks a month for six months through Hulu deal. Watched the first episode of Westworld, gonna catch up with that because it's currently ongoing. I'm intrigued, but like, it all kind of feels like a it could've been the idea for a Black Mirror episode.

Really excited to finally watch The Wire, The Sopranos, and Six Feet Under.

 

Anybody else watching “It Was Him: The Many Murders of Ed Edwards” on Paramount? It’s a cash grab, capitalizing on the recent interest in true crime shows/podcasts/books. I feel bad continuing to watch, but it does touch on so many famous murders (that I’m sure Ed had nothing to do with).

Does getting old have a direct correlation with forgetting what the the word aggregate means?

 

Just want to express gratitude for everything entertainment right now. Saw Moonrise kingdom for the first time yesterday and loved it. I loved Infinity War and A Quiet Place my two favorites of the year so far. Arrested development is coming out with a remixed season 4 and a new season 5 soon. Deadpool 2 and Solo come out soon.

So much good shit.

 

Man, I had no idea that Vangelis wrote One More Kiss, Dear until today lol. I always thought it was just an old song featured in the movie

I know it’s worthless to speculate this stuff but I feel like Edward Furlong fits a similar type of story. I know he’s alive but his life has seem troubled for so long now

 

I have an extreme soft spot for child actors. Your parents basically have to be ok with exploiting u to some degree and too many get taken advantage of

 

That movie is fucking reprehensible. I would legitimately argue it’s one of the worst movies ever made.

 

Yeah I didn't have much memory of it so I was expecting standard cheesy romcom but I didn't even end up finishing it. The whole movie was let's knock this snobby Yankee bitch down a peg!! And I feel like has a lot of the attitude that got Trump elected so it felt irresponsible. The whole charming down to earth god fearing southerners vs the out of touch elite liberal north. And that's not even touching on how controlling her husband was to not give her a divorce all these years. I guess in my memory it was about Reeses character rediscovering her roots but it was a lot worse than just that.

 

In these six months that I'll have HBO for this price, I'll try to watch, at the very least, The Wire, The Sopranos, and Six Feet Under. After those three, what other dramas should I prioritize?

Six Feet Under is really bad. Deadwood is great, Treme is very strong, and John from Cincinnati is a misunderstood masterpiece.

 

What makes you think so? It's pretty consistently up there with The Sopranos and The Wire on HBO ranking articles, but also sometimes isn't.

Six feet under had some moments I didn't care for but I love it overall. I also went thru a brief phase where I wanted to be a mortician after watching it
