Almost done with season 1. It is good television.

 

Regarding the cultural drought tweet, the top 10 grossing films of the last 5 years are all adaptations, sequels/prequels, or in Oppenheimer’s case based on a true story. Obviously not all of those movies are bad, but it feels pretty bleak. This year of movies has actually been pretty encouraging but with television in the state it’s in, I think we still have a few years to go before it stops feeling like a drought

Ahh damn, that’s a bummer. That was my go to.

 

Maybe if there weren't so many steaming services, they didn't cost so much, and they didn't keep removing content, piracy wouldn't be as much of an issue (although I'm sure there's a subset of people who'd pirate regardless)
