  1. Yup. It’ll probably go the way of Wile E Coyote.

I was only two years old when this came out to be fair, but I have NEVER heard of this movie before

You were probably still too young to remember but it was on cable a lot in the early 2000's.

Since we are bring back old Sandra Bullock favorites from the late 90's/early 2000's, can we get Miss Congeniality 3?

    Edit
Just googled it. Bullock has said it's never going to happen :concerned:

Hope this is okay to share, found the below link today, a massive Google Drive collection of "Solidarity Cinema"

    Solidarity Cinema

There's a simple little video on how to get access to the Google Drive (I did it really straightforward, and I'm very thick), and there's a huge volume of films available. Despite the blurb, it's not all deeply serious, left-wing films (Bottoms and Get Out are on there, for just a couple of random, mainstream examples), there's plenty of interesting stuff on here.

There's a full Letterboxd list of the films available, and lots to discover!

  14. That's a real bummer, obviously for the musicians themselves, but also for the idea of putting live music front and center on television.

A friend of mine sat in with Seth's band a couple times and had such a great experience.

I always thought late night bands were basically protected because what else do you do, outside of getting Reggie Watts?

Wow, that’s surprising. They got to platform a lot of great drummers. What a shame

a friend of mine works on the show and they’re pretty distraught, they won’t be having musical guests either

  19. Are you friends with Karina Rykman? She’s talked about it a lot seems to have had a lot of fun

  20. No, but I'm definitely checking out her music.

My friend who played with them is Jess Burdeaux (JBurdsBeats if you're into drummer Instagram) — she's in City Mouth and has been the touring drummer for Covet for a bit.

Sony stayed the fuck out of streaming and is now able to open their wallets.

They used to own Lowes Theaters in the 90s (before they all became AMCs) so this isn't a first for them

I don't pretend to know Seth Meyers' finances or the internal politics of running a show, but I feel like if I was the host of a show like that and was wealthy, I'd put my foot down at dismissing the band. Like that would probably be my line in the sand.

It took longer than a lot of people thought for the Supreme Court decision to catch up to theaters. As theaters close and people have less options, vertical integration is going to just make things worse. Sony has every incentive to play their own money and keep all of the money than to split revenue with a competitor. It doesn't mean they won't show the next big movie at all, but it will impact decisions like when those movies leave screens. They will also have more special events for their films over others.
