It’s especially funny because I assume this has been in the works for years and Chad Hugo, the other Neptunes guy that’s featured prominently in the trailer, is suing him.

 

I doubt I’ll see the movie but if they do actual Lego sets based on the artists featured I may buy one or two of those

I mean of all the tons of music biopics we are getting in the next couple of years (MJ, Dylan, Springsteen, Beatles, Sinatra, Bee Gees, ect) at least this one seems inventive and has an unconventional hook.

In googling writing this post I found out a low budget start up studio owned by Michael Jai White is doing a Billy Joel biopic, but they didn't get the rights to use the music, so it'll be a Billy Joel biopic with 0 Billy Joel songs lol

 

“Music biopic but as a LEGO animated film” is just nonsensical enough an idea, just enough of “who’d think of doing that,” that I have a non-zero chance of seeing it in theaters.

 

Weirdly also happened with Bowie and Celine

The Kyrie thing spawned some of the worst discourse in history and ultimately I don’t think he hates jews or is personally malicious so personally I am content for no one to ever talk about his beliefs in detail ever again
