Wasn’t the doc a total farce in hindsight? All of the health problems he reported in the doc were symptoms/results of his alcoholism and had very little to do with 30 days of McDonalds

 

For sure. By no means do I think it’s a perfect or even factual documentary, especially with what we know now.

I liked the elements beyond Spurlock’s experiment. To quote someone on Reddit: They also bring up kids school lunches being unhealthy and under funded, companies advertising “healthy” alternatives, how hard it is to find calories for the meals, what chicken nuggets are made of, and unhealthy portion sizes. There was so much misinformation and just a lack of information about health and diets twenty years ago.

 

At “Furiosa” and I gotta say I’m not looking forward to six months of this “Wicked” trailer.

 

The biggest problem with Spurlock's movie was that it is an experiment about a lifestyle almost no one lives. Eating every meal at McDonald's is like trying to analyze smoking by going through five packs a day or having someone only drink beer.

There isn't really some secret killer in fast food. It is fat and sugar and sodium, and a regular meal at one of these places probably hits your recommended daily limit or more. The thing he did best in documentary was examining how these restaurants create lifelong addicts by preying on children who want the sugar rush and the toy.

In seriousness I think Mescal might be a lock for Lennon if he's in the running, But I would be absolutely shocked if they don't cast Anthony Boyle as Paul.

Bring back Buried/Adventureland/the Proposal Ryan Reynolds, less mint mobile spokesman/soccer owner/liquor owner/shitty action movie every fiscal quarter Ryan Reynolds

 

That’s really depressing about Furiosa.

 

I didn’t see it, but didn’t Free Guy have a fairly successful run at the box office?
