Got my MoviePass delivered! Excited to test it out this week.

 

Definitely. The conversation will go something like, “How the fuck did a group of adults come to the conclusion that this would be okay?”

Alec Baldwin FINALLY tops his performance in Glengarry Glen Ross by playing the animated part of a baby who is also a powerful executive.

 

My girlfriend and I watched 10 minutes of it a couple nights ago and it was bad

My theory: the baby isn’t really a boss and the kid just has a big imagination

 

Y'all didn't like the Boss Baby?! Roger Ebert is rolling in his grave.

 

See, the movie is so bad it doesn’t even know if it wants this to be the case or not because some of the baby’s actions have real world consequence, and some don’t.

I haven’t seen it in full, but when I worked at the movies we had it and I would see bits and pieces

 

Enjoy. Get ready for your life to revolve around trying to cram movies in whenever you can.

I got mine on friday and finally got to use it last night. I'm already going back tonight and was trying to find a way to see one tomorrow before I have to go to a meeting haha

 

Got my moviepass card. Gonna try to see Three Billboards sometime in the next few days hopefully.

I've heard mostly positive things about all the movies on that list, except for Downsizing. I've seen 5 on that list and really enjoyed them all.

 

What a depressing list. It suggests that this was an awful year for films. Even if you accept the premise that they will only award films in English, how can The Lost City of Z not be a better film than an X-Men movie?

 

I like Logan more than Lost City of Z ha. The latter is great, though.

 

I thought the first two acts of Logan were surprisingly strong. Then it really falls flat in the third. Didn’t see Lost City of Z.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I find Get Out to be vastly overrated. I appreciate it more for its cultural relevance than for the actual contents of the film. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but I don’t think it’s as great as people say it is.

 

Get Out is very good, but not a top ten of the year.

 

Have you only seen it once? It got better for most people the more they've watched it

 

I saw it once and at the time I was working at the movies so I would pop my head in from time to time, but only one time in full, yes.

 

Personal Shopper is the best film to get a theatrical release in 2017.

 

Strongly recommend seeing it at least once more. There are lots of small details that I didn't catch the first time at all that made it better for me and others. I could probably watch it again and catch even more things
