I’m obsessed with Stop The Clocks, favorite track this year. It’s so sporadic and groovy I feel like it understands me lol
Just took a look at the Texas setlists, which they were switched up a bit more from the last time they were here and threw in some of the Spark songs they didn't play then.
Oh man they played Tribalism for the first time in the US last night. Give me one of that, Hoodwinker, or Thumper, and I will plotz
Holy shit, what a fucking set. They played almost exclusively deep cuts Sorry I was drunk when I wrote this - I was wrong in this assessment haha
From what i remember not in prefer The Mindsweep 1 Price for your head Arguing with thermometers Mothership Meltdown Live outside Juggernauts Rabble rouser Anethesist The Last Garrison Stop the clocks Zzzonked A cover I couldn’t recognize I thinj Quelle Surprise
Price is the only one there I consider a deep cut. They closed with Zzzonked for years and the rest of them are either set staples or rotated out with decent frequency. Not to sound pretentious i have not had coffee yet lol.
Haha I just edited my comment to say I was wrong, I think I was just hyped from the original setlist coming out of the show. It was really well balanced, and very different from when I saw them 2 years ago Getting price was wild though
Got Tribalism and No Sssseweat at the final date tonight. Almost got OK Time for Plan as well but something about Chris’ bass or something prevented it
Not sure it it was mentioned but Rou is producing the new album on his own. Excited to hear what they come up with.
From a recent Kerrang issue. I'd probably put Take To The Skies in the third position but overall I'd rank them the same way. In the interview that goes with it, Rou mentions that they've already recorded four songs for the upcoming album, and the rest of the year will be spent writing and recording the rest.
But that's their worst! Jk but I never could get over the omission of Quelle Surprise and Destabilise, though I'm not sure the latter was ever intended for it. Replace Sssnakepit and Hello Tyrannosaurus with these two, then I'd rank the album higher.
My order is so different to Rou’s lol. I think mine would probably be this: Flash>Spark>Mindsweep>>Skies>Common Spark and Mindsweep tend to swap places in my order quite frequently depending on my mood
Mindsweep and Common Dreads are in the upper tier, with the rest falling below that, by not by much at all. The parity is incredible, and that's not counting all the EPs and non-albums singles.
