I Don’t know but I think that The King is absolutely brilliant.I love that melody and it also reminds me Common Dreads era big time

 

Dreamers Hotel is my favourite song they have put out since Mindsweep era.

 

"The king" is growing on me I gotta say. still have some gripes with the prod, I know the raw sound is a thing with this album and I love it "Dreamer's Hotel" but there's things that bother me here. specifically that thin kind of programmed drum sound and the lack of distinction between verses and chorus holds it back a bit. on the other hand love that little horn figure that comes in halfway and "I used to be a charmer now there's holes in my armour, FUCK!"

Just heard the king - this album is shaping up real nice. That song is wild.

 

oh wow the king does remind me of like earlier-ish discog stuff, neat!

 

man, these songs are so good. Just reminded me that I saw them in a tiny venue in a suburb of Houston on their tour with Haste The Day in 2010. It was so fucking hot and their electronics kept failing/overheating but it was still a blast.

 

Now excuse me while I go jam Common Dreads.

 

Also, Zzzonked still goes hard 10 years later. Fuck

I'm jealous, I need this in my ears very soon. Dreamer's Hotel has been on repeat for me since it came out cus it's a fuckin belter. I've been on a flat out Shikari shuffle since it came out and jesus fuck it's been way, WAY too long since I gave em the time of day. I love this band and I'm gutted I forgot that. R E C T I F I E D now tho

 

Theyre a much better band than their genre/style leads the off to be. Theyre great songwriters too

 

Any comments on the upcoming song? Cool if ya wanna leave it a surprise I'm just super hyped to hear more from this album hahaha

 

It's a great choice of next single.

 

Normally I wait until I've heard the album to order the vinyl, but Shikari have ascended to a band I have total faith in and will happily pre-order this once my credit card ticks over for a fresh month.
