Revisiting their discography for the first time in a while. Always forget how much I love A Flash Flood of Colour until I revisit it, what a great album
I think fans of Enter Shikari would really dig the new Northlane single that just dropped, scratches a similar itch for me. I see @onionbubs has it has their profile pic haha nice
Been on a trip for a while, but this has been playing seemingly nonstop throughout it. I was on the plane runway when my flight was about to takeoff and I was listening to Flick of a Switch II and we started lifting off the moment the breakdown at the end came in. I truly felt like I was the center of the universe in that moment. The timing could not have been more perfectly synced. I transcended.
Full cancelation of both legs of Nort American tour dates (including Warped) due to visa issues. Absolutely feel for the dudes because I know they don't take canceling lightly. They noted they will try and get something set up for 2027. Really need to see these new songs live!
Honestly I think already gave this album more listens in a month than A Kiss in 3 years lol, it's that good. Feels like Enter Shikari at their most complete, I can't ask for more at this point and I'm grateful they're still coming up with output of this caliber 8 (!) albums in
I just bought tickets to see them tomorrow lol, had no idea they were even coming until I saw a poster yesterday the visa thing really sucks, sorry American homies :/
so excited for them to come on but started feeling sick pretty much as soon as I got to the venue :/ can't win recently
yeah that shit went crazy, I thought my bones were collapsing when Flick of a Switch hit. also teared up quite a bit when they played the pressure's on, that song is so important to me
Do they play both parts live? The first part alone sounds like it could already become a live staple but I'm curious about the second one as it has that throwback Take To The Skies style breakdown
we only got part 1 unfortunately, it was a pretty short show though at 1hr 15min. the encore was just Juggernauts, I thought they'd do 2-3 songs minimum
For context this is the UK warmup show setlist with some more new songs in the mix + SYNAW. Glad you had a good time!
I will say my experience at their show was slightly disappointing, mainly given their lofty high standards for live shows. Rou seemed jetlagged or slightly unwell - was noticeably less chatty and engaged with the audience than previous shows I've seen. A friend of mine who was standing in a different spot reckoned he looked exhausted after a few songs, the poor chap. I don't know if it was a him issue pr a mic problem, but his verses got lost in the mix a bit (choruses were good though). They also ripped through the setlist in 90 minutes which felt short for a band of their tenure. Would have liked a few older songs, only got four pre-Mindsweeper songs and nothing from AFFOC. Having said all of that...still a better live show than what most bands can pull together.
yeah he seemed pretty tired yesterday too but he sounded fantastic, he went crazy on Quelle Surprise. Chris and Rob did pretty good with the crowd banter as is it was a great setlist, must be hard to pick songs with a discog this good. I think if they coulda thrown in satellites and The One True Colour somewhere I'd have no nitpicks
