Was in Manchester tonight for the show and 'Find Out The Hard Way' was really good. Album does seem to start really well, excited to sink my teeth in more
Man this is so much better and more adventurous than A Kiss for the Whole World. It feels like a journey in a similar way as Nothing Is True with a lot of variety and even some A Flash Flood of Colour sounding moments on the heavier parts. I appreciate how they let the songs breathe again, with extended instrumental parts. They’re really flexing their production muscles, the electronics are nuts. Surprised by the amount of rapping too. I even got reminded of Twenty One Pilots at times.
I really like this on first listen, the last four songs in particular are a great way to end the record.
Checking this out now because of the rad album art. I really like it so far. What are their best albums to check out?
Sorry to be the one but everyone’s going to have a different answer lol I’d say Take This to the Skies, A Flash Flood of Colour (my favorite), The Spark. People really love Common Dreads though
Common Dreads, Flash Flood and Nothing Is True are my favourites. Take to the Skies has been growing on me a lot recently too.
love how once an album these lads drop a song like satellites or Shipwrecked to remind they could be the biggest pop band in the world but they're doing their own thing instead I'm so happy man this thing is superb, a massive bounce back from Kiss. my only complaint continues to be missing Chris' lovely voice, was geeked to hear it for a second in Spaceship
Flash Flood feels like their best album to me some days and it's WILD coming from me because I was so disappointed with it initially, it's what put me off them. Mindsweep, Flash Flood, Take to the Skies (I think, though it badly needs a remaster job, it's just so out of step with the rest of their catalogue)
i had this with the spark. was not into it at all upon release, then when nit&eip came out i then realized the spark is fuckin amazing and (up until the last 48 hours) the best thing they'd ever done
An Ode to Lost Jigsaw Pieces is off limits, it's way too gutting for me to ever really listen to, and Airfield sometimes. I maintain all their albums are very good at minimum.
yeah jigsaw and airfield both have me choked up whenever i listen to them. whenever i am ready for it, theres no moment in this discog that has my jaw on the floor the way the ending of jigsaw does, but it is not every day for sure
