I watched this for the first time on Christmas Eve. I’ve now watched it 5 times since. Just an absolute delight. Gonna be a go-to for a while.

 

I liked it but didn’t love it. It felt more like an introduction to all of the family members with bare minimum story and I really didn’t like Abuela at all so that kinda tanked the emotional end beats for me. On the plus side, it looked gorgeous, the music was great, and I really enjoyed all the side characters and their stories.

 

I liked this a lot but I personally think it would’ve been better if they didn’t all get their powers back at the end. Kinda muddies the whole “family is what actually makes us special” message tbh.

obviously the house still has to come back to life though, the house not being alive anymore would be sad af

 

This was enjoyable. Nothing amazing but it was good and I loved Mirabel.

 

Vin should’ve been in this

 

I felt this but I also was relieved Mirabel didn't suddenly get a power at the end. That would've been too much

Plus before they got their powers back I was thinking how much it sucked the little boy only had his power for like 10 minutes lol

 

I don’t think Mirabel needed a power, I just think they all should’ve stayed normal. And the house comes back to life lol

Making them lose their powers would muddle a lot more of the movies message. Louisa and Isabella getting to use their powers on their terms is such a huge part of the ending and taking that away from them would have been really disappointing

 

Movie was great. Loved the music.
