This really feels a whole new level above anything else he’s done before - and there hasn’t been anything he’s put out that I haven’t loved.

Everything feels like it fires to its full potential, even the pacing avoids pitfalls that the past couple of albums fell into. A rare artist at the peak of his power, what a gift this thing is!

 

I have never wanted an artist to do a track by track so strongly before.

 

This is fucking great.

 

I ordered the vinyl, I don’t know why I didn’t sooner. Joe doesn’t miss.

I honestly don’t know, i think it depends where you got it. I chose the rough trade exclusive since I saw it was ready to go.

Thanks to that interview with Joe about this album for introducing me to Joy Williams. Absolutely loving The Changeling and the influence on this album is not subtle.
