Yep, finally pulled the trigger on this tonight. Wanted the blue variant, but wasn't sure if he's get more from Bandcamp, so I grabbed the white from there.
did any one else order the green/clear one on bandcamp day and get emailed from them asking to either wait for that variant or switch to white or blue?
I ordered the blue on March 20th and it’s not supposed to ship until May 8th. Not sure what’s going on there
On the email confirmation from the order there is a link towards the bottom to “check your order detail page” which brought me to the ship date, etc
I ordered last night and also got a ship date of May 8th. but I just got a notification that it is on the way
I mean it’s fine. A lot of these contemporary artists on indie labels really don’t put much into the vinyl. It’s basically like getting a CD on wax. But I’d rather buy physical media and support than not. And records are my preference. I think Jagjaguwaur is usually the absolute worst. I’m not sure where they get their stuff pressed but lord. Basically every Bon Iver record I have sounds like shit compared to a lot of the stuff in my collection.
i think that like most of the vinyl production was probably handled by tiny engines and as such the vinyl just sounds like ok. it's not important to me that it sound all that good because like it's vinyl but it's definitely nothing special in that department.
damn new songs r great, can't wait to get to know them more. god yes I fully admit I'm dumb but I am so happy to have slightly shittier recorded versions of these songs
there was an instrumental called "Rebecca" on the empty country bandcamp before any announcements and such it's often stuck in my head, wish I'd saved it
oh interesting, there's no Becca demo bc it was written ten min before the studio, according to his insta
