can I say The Orlando Sentinel is my fav album, or is that too much of a hot take?

 

it's hot but he's brilliant so it's not that hot

also orlando sentinel wasn't even meant to be an album. some reviewer copies were sent a 5 or 6 track EP then by the time it came out it had doubled in size lol

 

i keep trying to move all my friends to slack so i can get my ass off FB, sadly people stick to messenger :(

This album is great, thanks to @cwhit for telling me about this guy. "30,000" is godly and "Low Orbit Ion Cannon", bought the vinyl for this after a bunch of listens today. Reading up on this guys story has made everything about this album more appealing to me.

 

For the longest time I thought this guy was @cwhit

 

i mean, i've never seen them in the same room together

 

i'm honored that was even considered, that i could be the biggest musical genius in the world

 

he really is a fascinating, brilliant person, and likely my favorite musician ever

it's okay that was a disappointing emperor x set because of technical issues but it's the only disappointing set of his ever in history

yeah, the interview he gives the link to the song i posted, says he'll be posting a bunch of rough demos for an EP to come out september/october

When I spoke with him he said he was hoping to put out an EP around September which is based on an alternative version of a song that would be on the album (that he’s wanting to release early next year). He also likened the way the album sounded to Billie Joel. From the way he described it, it sounds like it’s gonna be a pretty radical change in sound from Oversleepers (similar in jump from Western Teleport to Orlando, although he maintained it doesn’t really sound like Orlando).

 

all of this sounds so great, I really hope he makes a stop over here late this year/early next

 

Just booked a show with Emperor X in Cinci for January and y’all i am so psyched!
