does anyone know where his vocals are when they come in? i only listened to the song once cause i wanna keep it fresh
couldn't catch it, sort of like how aaron weiss is on the first track but i also can't tell where he is lol
lol fuck off ian cohen talking about how he "should have done more" to write about this album when it came out
Am I missing something? Sounds like he genuinely likes the album Also Chad's touring life sounds real rough, can't imagine taking a bus to every single show in the US
he likes it but he should have actually covered in months ago rather than being like, the only tiny engines release this year to get shafted
I see what you're saying but it's possible he just hadn't gotten around to it at the time or didn't feel the same about it. Hindsight and all that Also would he have gotten as many people to listen to it as you did just hyping it up as much as you did? lol
YEAH BUT EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN!!!! I'm just mad that the two people on chorus who said they were reviewing this (cough @Craig Ismaili @Zac Djamoos) didn't and I even wrote my first review in five years for this and it's still not getting the credit it deserves ha
Think that could change in the wake of the Hotelier and TWIABP hype. Seen a lot of people asking about it for sure, more than I expected anyway.
i would have expected that hype to do more. it's still mostly the people that already were hyped (band and label people) that have been pushing it. haven't seen any writers or outside influences mostly at this point. hope it changes, he deserves it
This is one of two records I care about from this year tbh, although I admittedly slept on it slash didn't give it the attention it deserved for a while
i'm only stoked for young jesus atm, what else is coming out the other one is slightly outside the scope of this site but it's a beautiful and incredibly dynamic fusion of prog rock/metal, electronic, and ambient that builds these huge, playful soundscapes and incorporates very pretty guitar tones. the section from living room through damar is just perfect
a couple of tracks into it, sounds cool so far, kinda shoegazey i keep forgetting i preordered young jesus and every time i get on bandcamp im excited about it all over again. still holding out on listening to that single
