Oh shit so there is, for some reason I never added it to my Apple Music haha. Well I guess the upshot is I have more Emperor X to listen to before the new album comes out.
when he played the show i put on that was actually the second time he was in the radio station. the first was 2003, haha. yeah he has a bunch of really great things off his earlier records. i don't listen to them often but raytracer is one of his best
it's really different, haha. it was originally like a five or six song EP then he added all those crazy electronic interludes and stuff, which is actually closer to what he does in half of his live sets
what record came out between western teleport and now? edit: nevermind, it's orlando sentinel, right?
i still don't really listen to any of the recorded material other than western teleport and occasionally orlando sentinel. everything else if i want to listen to it i generally listen to live versions. right to the rails is a dope song too because it mentions the DC metro system (he went to school in DC at American University) including the metro station right next to UMD, haha. also says the words "third rail" which always get me excited haha
since i'm just sharing things to listen to at this point, here's the set he did at the radio station. some amazing renditions of songs on here
listening to raytracer while cramming a quarter's worth of optics in two hours was a highlight of my physics gre week
When he plays live, is it a pretty varied career spanning set? Should I go back and listen to pre Western Teleport stuff as well as Orlando Sentinel?
if you listen to the set i posted, it's mostly western teleport stuff and new stuff. new shows are probably going to be mostly new stuff i assume
subbing. a friend showed me WOTSF on election night and shooooooooooo. Western Teleport is becoming a fast-favorite record of mine.
