His Columbus show was a house show. I had to find the event on FB and ask a host for an address. My partner was sick and couldn't go with me, so I went alone and was probably a good 3-4 years older than the median age. It was packed though and he put on a great performance. The crowd really knew his music too. They all knew all the words to Compressor Repair.

Chad was awesome last night. I wish we would have gotten more songs though. Show was a weird little experience. The basement had flooded at the house so they had it in the back yard. Since they were afraid of it getting shut down early Chad played an abreiviated set before the openers.

 

Sig Alert gets slept on because it's between EWT and Canada Day, but it's one of his best songs.

 

weirdly enough in the full video of him performing in that MA lecture hall with christian they played that. it's a song i never expected him to play live because it's super different but the live version is pretty cool

 

What up about to go to NC to see him and mineral girls, catch me at the gig doing the standing still

Queen Jesus played instead of three man Cannon last night. Truly did not expect the set to have as much electronic synth stuff as it did, that was a treat because I thought he might leave some songs I wanted to hear because of it. Never seen that guitar/synth contraption in any of his videos. It was a very singular and unique set, I've never seen one like it and that makes it super special to me. No complaints at all, would def catch again

I honestly had no idea his fans were so hype on compressor repair though, that surprised me

I played my girlfriend some of this and she thinks chad sounds like Christian from the Hotelier

 

yes. they do sound alike at times. especially on god save coastal dorset.
they are also extremely good friends as well, and have toured together many times, hah.

 

Ha, I remember you sent me Emperor X stuff a couple years ago and the first thing you sent me was an acoustic set with Christian

When I saw him in NC I picked up some of the sheet music he made and I bought the record again even though I preordered bc fuck it, dude owes 30,000€ and that's fucked
