Emo Nite - 2017 Tour Tour

I already got tickets for the Subterranean show. Glad Emo Nite is FINALLY coming to Chicago.

 

So, this is paying money for people to play 10-15 year old MP3s? I'm good.

 

Got my tickets for Holocene. Stoked.

No NYC date. I guess they respect Emo Night BK's turf.

 

thinking the same thing. is there any real difference between the companies?

 

I'm not too sure. Both have guest DJs and play shows everywhere. It seems to me for whatever reason, Emo Nite (LA) is more popular.

 

The DJs for Emo Nite remix all the emo/pop punk songs. I am not sure if the local ones do that or not.

 

remix? like actually take the time and morph the songs?

 

Like remix with top 40 songs.

 

oh weird. No they don't do that at all for emo night brooklyn. Emo night brooklyn it's just two dudes playing mp3s. It's more about just getting drunk and singing along with people, it's a lot of fun surprisingly. does it take any skill? No. Is it $10 so whatever? Yup.

 

I thought Emo Nite posted a setlist one time that had a bunch of notes about different remixes on it.

Going tonight! Excited finally to check one of these things out. I'll probably only stay for an hour or two.

 

I said that, then my girlfriend and I stayed until like 1:30 haha.

 

I went on Wednesday. I thought it was just okay. I probably wouldn't do it again unless it was on a weekend.

 

I'll be hitting up the Portland one again. I don't really know why they only do them on Tuesdays here, but I'll probably end up just taking Wednesday off.

 

There's one next Friday I'll be at!

 

I'm still debating hitting this up! I probably will pass on the bayside/say anything show because I really would only be sort of interested in say anything. But emo nite is so fun!
