Can you give details? Did it have all of the elements of your typical cruise with the addition of the music or was it lacking in other areas?
Do bands on these types of cruises usually play more than one set? It says it's a 4-day cruise and I don't know if ten bands is a lot or not.
If you’re seriously considering going on the cruise, it might be worth an hour of your time to listen to the first episode of their podcast. They do a deep dive on how the first cruise went.
As a Coheed cruiser I can say unequivocally that this will be a blast and if you can make it financially and otherwise go go go!
So, if you have been on a typical cruise it is similar minus the cruise line planned events, such as cruise line production shows and the daily activities are all planned by sixthman the company who runs the festival. Its basically like a festival at sea on a charter boat. All of the cruise amenities are there like lots of food, gym, pools, etc but everything has an emo theme. Even the tables in the casino were emo branded as well as the chips. And just like any festival there are multiple bands playing at the same time so you may need to pick due to conflicts but each band plays 3 times throughout the trip so you can catch one you missed another time, albeit probably a different set. If you like cruising I highly recommend it.
This answered a lot of my questions. I can't make it on this one, but I love cruising in general and want to go on one of these music cruises at some point. Thanks for sharing!
