Totally valid! I like the sample choices because it made me think of NY hip-hop which is traditionally very sample heavy.
The Marshal Mathers LP - 9.5 The Slim Shady LP - 9.5 The Eminem Show - 9.25 Relapse - 7 Encore - 6.75 Recovery - 5 I don't know/care about the others enough to rank them.
I tried recently. So horrible. I associate it with a lot of good memories because I loved it when it came out but I soured on it quickly after and since then it gets worse every time I hear it. I have been listening to a ton of SSLP, MMLP, and Eminem show lately since they remind me of the same time. Those all still rip. Especially SSLP.
MMLP Eminem Show SSLP ---a decent gap--- Encore Infinite MMLP2 ---about 100miles of barren wasteland--- everything else he has put out
it is really funny to listen to a guy famous for his anti trump shit go on about pronouns and cancel culture
Recovery is one of the worst held up albums in history. I too loved it when it came out and can hardly make it through a full song now
7 tracks in and he’s STILL going on about being cancelled. Did I miss something? Did he ever get cancelled? Do I live under a rock?
those songs at least had good beats and interesting flows I could almost forgive the lyrics but the beats got real bad real quick while the lyrics somehow got worse
It cracks me up that this is supposed to be such a conceptual album about the death of Slim Shady and GC2 isn't the last track
He literally says “gen z” a bunch how are people not embarrassed to be listening to this I saw two people I know from old jobs posting about it today lol they think it’s great I’m like?????
plus he could've limited the amount of blatantly politically incorrect songs to 1-2 of them tops and still got just as much of a point across. no one needed to hear all of this for so much of the album
