This song would be so much better if they just put any effort into writing a good hook. Also for someone who is supposedly best friends with MGK, Pete Davidson sure does collab with Eminem a lot lol
Never been an Eminem fan but when I was younger I do remember the first few records sounding like nothing else out there. Since then it feels like every era is kicked off by the same type of song, announcing Shady is back and just being generally terrible. They all sound so generic. Eminem always felt like the ultimate chad music.
idk how to feel about this lol. I like the nostalgia factor and that he generally sounds like old school eminem, but also it's embarrassing and the chorus is pretty lame. idk
pete's that kid in high school that was friends with every group of kids even if they had beef with each other
Song is alright but the video was super fun. I don't find the sample as corny as most, but in true to most first single motives, it's light and fun.
I actually didn’t hate it and I was fully expecting to. I mean, it’s not something I’m likely to listen to voluntarily, but it didn’t suck as much as everyone said it did. Very 2002 Em. Video was alright too.
As an aside, the video to Rap God played automatically afterwards and the beat on that is both simultaneously hard and weak at the same time. It’s really odd. Only ever heard the bit when he raps in double time, so never paid that much attention to it. But yeah. Weird.
Don’t care for the lyrics (not surprised) and the hook is shit but I actually think there’s an okay song here
This feels nostalgic in a good way but there's nothing about this song that I'd ever want to memorize. I continue to hate the way he raps post Relapse.
Still a few more days till the week's chart comes out, but I gotta imagine this will be his best performing single in a very long time. Already over 50 million streams on both Spotify and Youtube.
