Good God I didn't even see Ed Sheeran on there. Can't wait for whatever trainwreck they come up with to be on the radio constantly.
If you would have told me 15 years ago that an Eminem album would feature five women I would have laughed in your face.
15 years ago, Sheeran would have been one of his main targets. Now he's doing songs with him. Where are the Moby and Chris Kirkpatrick features? Em was an important artist for me growing up and getting me into rap around 1999 through to 2002ish. Now he's doing this. Yeesh.
i miss when his only features were like, with the various members of D12 or 50. minus the one Dido feature, he always seemed to recruit from within.
My guess is I'll really like about 3 or 4 songs on this album, 3 or 4 will be painfully bad and the rest will be mainstream, bland, boring pop attempts.
I think I must be in the minority here, but I really liked Recovery. And Bad Meets Evil was also very good (although Royce Da 5'9" is one of my favorite rappers). Relapse was absolutely awful. MMLP2 had some redeeming tracks but mostly missed the mark.
I really enjoyed Recovery as well, but MMLP2 was an overall miss as far as I'm concerned. I pretend Relapse never even existed. I don't even think I have it in my library anymore.
I just couldn't do the Caribbean accents (or whatever the hell that was) on Encore and Relapse. The only songs on Relapse that I go back to are Deja Vu and Beautiful. That's it. I pretty much liked everything on Recovery except maybe W.T.P. and You're Never Over. There wasn't a bad song on Bad Meets Evil, imo. MMLP2 I'll go back to Bad Guy (mostly for the final 2 minutes, which are epic), Legacy, Rap God, Headlights, Beautiful Pain and a few others.
I really like Recovery a lot. MMLP2 was beyond forgettable. I don't remember last time I listened to it
