Black Eyed Peas headlined Nelly ,Nicki , and Missy Elliott were guests I know they used to have a bunch of headliners but it seems kinda lame when they all have enough hits to headline
meant and shoulda said headlined, yeah. still damning that no solo rapper was a marquee performer on their lonesome
With the rumors of Em surprise dropping an album tomorrow, and now this Super Bowl announcement, it makes me think that maybe we're getting an Em/Dre/Kendrick collab. Also funny that Eminem and Snoop are sharing a stage, I feel like they started a feud last year.
I think they tried to get Jay Z recently, but he turned it down when they strongly suggested he bring the likes of Kanye and Rihanna to join him.
Rihanna turned it down because of Kaep and they clearly are trying to undo the negative press from that
Also Queen Latifah in 98, Diddy in 04, M.I.A. in 2012, Travis Scott and Big Boi in 2019. 98 and 04 it seems did not really have a headliner, so really QL and Diddy weren't guests (Nelly was in 04 too)?
Wow 20 years. I actually gave this album a spin a few days ago not realizing the anniversary was coming up. Still think this is his best album.
I didn't realize that this was still the most recent Em thread lol. For me TES is his second best after MMLP but it's really damn close
That cover art is hideous. I still say Recovery and Kamikaze are solid albums. I wouldn't put anything from Relapse or Revival on a greatest hits. He should include a track or two from that Bad Meets Evil EP too.
He dropped off massively over the last 12 or so years. Recovery is his only good record since his return from hiatus.
Listening to them again recently it's clearer than ever how much better Relapse is than Recovery. I don't like Recovery much at all these days. I still haven't even listened to a full album since MMLP2 lol.
I went into Spotify and realised I had forgotten how many albums this guy has made in the last few years
Relapse is sooooo bad. I actually think Recovery is probably in his top 3 or 4 albums (admittedly, haven't listened in a long, long time though) Can't imagine what a 'greatest hits' album would consist of with these back half albums. He's probably just going to include the 'hits' which is dumb, but I'd go with the following: Relapse: Deja Vu, Beautiful Recovery: Cold Wind Blows, Not Afraid, No Love, Space Bound, 25 to Life MMLP2: Bad Guy, Legacy, Headlights Revival: LOL Kamikaze: The Ringer, Lucky You, Stepping Stone, Not Alike Music To Be Murdered By: You Gon Learn, Lock It Up (I don't really remember too many other songs off this) MTBMBSB: Honestly don't remember anything from this
i would put Recovery right up there with his 1999-2002 material, i have not listened to any Eminem in a while and don't necessarily think I will be jumping back in quickly lol but i remember listening to nothing but Recovery for a few months, and that was the last time i really enjoyed anything he released. i liked MMLP2 but did not love it. i always completely forget that he released Encore.
