I’m only on the first song but he is killing it here idk

 

For whatever reason when I hear his voice now, I just cringe. So, that is probably why.

 

The song where he goes off on Milo is...woof

 

Kamikaze is an awesome song. Previewed some others. Will take me a few listens to have an opinion. I think it's great for him to release some stuff and it be real rap instead of that pop-infusion stuff.

 

I mean yeah his flow sounds as technically impressive as always, but I'm still not sure the lyrics mean much, and I'm also not sure reverting back to shock-rap is really the way to pivot either. This really started to go downhill around track four or five for me

 

Yea the vulgarity is a little silly when you consider that he's 45.

 

just got to the HUMBLE reference in the second song and already regretting ever clicking play on this fucking album, christ

 

the first song's chorus was basically "fingerbang, pootie tang, pretty thing, slippy sling"

 

uhhhh is "Not Alike" a "Bad and Boujee" parody? Holy hell, this is awful

 

"Hey guys, here's my super emotional and RAW AF™ surprise album... no gimmicks here!! Oh, also the closing track is Venom (Music From the Motion Picture)"

 

And he literally parodies a super similar Migos flow six or seven tracks later

 

see, i really liked that? maybe i'm weird. i think the first 2 songs were really good and i'm starting to like it less as it goes along. but i like the concept in the first stretch of songs.

 

This was a nice surprise came out of nowhere I only thought he was dropping the venom song not a full album but he most def had this planned out either before or after he released revival

This is worse than Revival if I'm being honest. "Nice Guy" is just another level of bad

 

Need to hear this.

I mean honestly, what do you really want from Eminem in 2018? Haha

 

I really don't like to plague threads with negativity, but I just want to say that I went into this with open arms and left having heard the worst album of the year so far. Do what you will with that information. If you like the record, more power to ya.

 

Music that doesn't suck

 

He hasn't put out an album with more than 4 or 5 decent songs in 15 years. You're probably expecting too much.

 

I stayed with this album for the same reason and just fyi, it's a generic faceless R&B hook that he could have had literally anyone else sing without changing the song. there's no Vernon musicality in there at all, it's just a waste

 

I'll give you Lucky You, which was decent enough purely for the other guy rapping circles around Em. but everything else is just-
