Haven’t listened yet, but according the the description the newest episode of Song Rescue has a clip of a song of the new record. In addition Toby and Devin “reveal some things” about the album.

Nice! They talk about how the song came about and then Devin plays the first verse/chorus acoustic. Sounds pretty good. Song starts around the 20 minute mark.

 

Niiiiiice. I'll give it a listen soon. On vacation and falling behind on podcasts...

 

Dang that's not what I was expecting.. honestly don't know what to expect, but it wasn't that haha. Not bad though, the last part with just the strumming was nice.

 

I’m sure the full band arrangement will be very different ha. But the song built nicely and sounded like a Devin song which may have been the only thing the last album was missing.

 

The return of Devin to songwriting status is what I’m most excited for.

This, more duel vocals and more variety to sound. Apparently theirs stuff on the album that sounds like “indie rock” which to me means that maybe it’s just stuff that isn’t as heavy?

 

Not sure but I would assume it’s going to be full band. Guess we will see in a few months!

 

More duel vocals is what I'm excited for! And I hope Josh has a couple more screams thrown in the mix... I think he only had one moment on YWNA

 

Devin holding @ 22:22 sounds gorgeous. That little touch of slowly leaning away from the mic, while also trailing the note off, was nice technique. They've grown very comfortable in an acoustic setting.

 

Some nice vibrato too

 

They've added some new tour dates with Oh, Sleeper in August.

From the BC podcast it sounds like they've made good progress with the record too.
