I think IOAM starts out really well, but then the latter half is so so. Better than WDWWW though which is a mixed bag. Crumbling is a highlight and it's not even on the album. I don't mind the production on YWNA, but I'm curious to see how it'll change this time around esp with how well their fundraiser is doing.
If we're still talking about great songs off of IOAM, I think Can't Stop the Killer is one of the best Emery songs across their entire catalog. I also really love What Makes a Man a Man, never see that song get any mention.
I much prefer the “good night good night, I would tuck you in so tight, but I’m just a tired man with these tired hands of mine” part to what was in the original. Sounds a lot tighter
Yeah, I can understand that. I think it's the overall sound that I prefer. But it's definitely a strong track from IOAM.
On my iTunes it is at the end of the album and after listening to the closer (which is fantastic) it is a bit underwhelming. It's not a bad song by any means though.
I mean it not work as a closer, but I feel it has a spot somewhere on the record. I’m still holding out hope this received a vinyl pressing.
I'm with you. It's getting close to November but there has been no word. They haven't even mentioned it on the BC Podcast for a while as far as I can tell.
I was just thinking that. By the time December rolls around all I want to do is listen to Christmas music and listen to my favourite albums of the year, not spend time digesting a new album. A January release would suit me fine. Just wish they'd be better with their communication. If it does make it out before the end of 2017 then unless it's ISSWS level I can't see this being in my top 10 albums. It's been a strong year.
