It was obviously going to happen, but Emery is the featured band on the most recent T&N Labeled podcast. I listened today. It's quite interesting, mainly covering how their place of upbringing impacted their early years. Would have liked to hear more though but it worked.
I was listening to Emery in the car earlier and came to the conclusion that After The Devil Beats His Wife is their best song
the funny thing is I'm with the consensus that IOAM is their worst album. After The Devil Beats His Wife is just an incredible and amazingly written song lol
Totally agree. It's not their best but it's solid and it's definitely not their worst. I prefer it to WDWWW. Agree that it's a good song though.
I think their best is In Shallow Seas We Sail but would I place IOAM as second? It's tied with The Question for #2 but yeah.
I wonder what record everyone considers to be their worst? Is it IOAM? I think their debut, The Weak's End, is pretty overrated but still has some great songs. We Do What We Want is half killer half filler and even though I'm a proud backer of You Were Never Alone - I only come back to a handful of tracks these days.
In Shallow Seas We Sail The Question You Were Never Alone I'm Only A Man The Weak's End We Do What We Want Honestly, IOAM may be switched with YWNA depending on the day you asked.
I love all their albums but I feel like The Question, Shallow Seas, and YWNA are perfect and the others are half filler, WDWWW being my least favorite.
