Thank you everyone! Subscribed as well, and can confirm, this album rocks. I'm glad they are relasing this improved version.

The biggest improvement are the re-recorded acoustics. That direct acoustic sound kills me on the live version haha.

one I just saw on Facebook was Emery and Aaron Gillespie but no Norma Jean

I saw a thread where Norma Jean commented that they weren’t going to be on the southeast dates. And Emery said more to be announced.

yea, tour was announced! There's a bunch of different dates with different line ups. Devin said on the discord East Coast dates are coming!

Kind of a bummer, no interest in seeing anyone other than Emery on the dates in the south.

I'd still go, who knows when they tour full band again!

FYI, singer of Watashi Wa is a MAGA-type conspiracist who posts things about how demons are coming for people’s children and how everyone in his family who got vaxxed caught covid.

He had some antimask stuff early on but apologized and disappeared pretty early into the pandemic. From what I understand, he’s been quiet since. But yea, I’m sure he still holds some of those views but at least he isn’t using his platform to spread them anymore. That was pretty contained though and not a lot of people know about it, especially outside of this community.

Not sure how much better it makes it but Cory’s dumb comments in the past have usually seemed to come from genuine ignorance rather than being aggressively dumb and hostile.

I Don't Know You At All is on streaming, but also Concussion and Enemy? Were those on streaming before? I don't remember hearing them other than on the live performance.

I would say this is possibly my favorite Emery record of all time.

It’s absolutely their best since Shallow Seas at the very least.

  21. Thanks Spotify for reminding me this was coming out today nn

I haven't listened to the first version in a while, but what jumps out the most is how everything sounds much more polished. I'm hearing some additional back up vocals here and there as well.

Still their best album since possibly In Shallow Seas We Sail to me. They knocked it out of the park.

It’s a bummer how little hype there is for this fantastic record. Hopefully word spreads

I feel like no one does harmonies quite like Emery. So many amazing vocal moments on here. My favorite thing of theirs in years
