I'm into this. Glad that they still find some ways to change it up while retaining their core sound. Very indie rock-y and even not far from Weezer during the chorus. The ending is classic Emery indeed.

Wow this song is great- really impressed. The production quality sounds better than YWNA too- nice.

 

The ending is weak on its own but maybe it’ll sound better in the context of the record.

thanks! honestly i haven't listened to a full project from these guys since The Question. i enjoyed this though.

 

That was interesting, in a good way. The first 3/4 of the song sounded different - indie rocky - and the last 1/4 was classic Emery.

 

If you've headphones with which to listen, Matt has a great 37-second guitar riff that is slightly buried on the left side from 2:00-onward that I wish was more prominent, but that's a small gripe.

this song has really grown on me, devins parts are great.

 

Song rules. It's pretty different for them but very familiar sounding. Also really loved how many ideas they seemed to cram into this short song and did it so well.
