Yeah totally- I ain't complaining. At first, I wasn't into the new record but now I am digging it. Definitely up there with In Shallow Seas and *HOT TAKE* I'm Only a Man. I might even order this on vinyl.

 

just so we are clear, you think shame, streets of gold, see you on the otherside, and Gay is okay, are bad tracks bc I think the last 5 songs are the strongest of the album haha

 

See You on the Other Side, Shame, and 2007 Clarkesville are pretty good but not as strong as the first 8 tracks in my opinion.

Also Streets of Gold is one of my favorite tracks- is your tracklisting different than mine?

 

Shame and 2007 are major highlights for me

 

I have no idea why I put “streets of gold” in there. I meant “everything she offered me” lol

 

If you count "Fear Yourself" and "Jesus Wept" as one song, the only songs that aren't on the level are "Flesh" and "Bones." They're fine and I don't mind them in the tracklist, but I don't think there's a weak spot on the album besides those.

I think it's honestly just alright but it ain't bad- it just perhaps needs to grow on me.

Trying to decide if I wanna buy this (not huge on the color) or wait for the second press for a different color. Second presses usually drop in quality of sound so I am torn..

 

Probably. I’ve always loved Emery but they’ve never been my favorite. I’m very surprised how much I dig this.

I prefer either variant color for the second press but I worry about losing the quality on the second press. Definitely torn..

 

The final track seems the most “Emery” to me. If that makes sense.

 

Screw it- went with the first pressing. I can always cancel if I change my mind tomorrow when they release the new variants. This record hardcore grew on me today after a few more listens.

Is that true? I’ve never heard that before. Any reason why?

 

I really don’t care for that bone/off white/coke bottle green/whatever spectrum of vinyl colors but all the others are gorgeous I think. Wish they told us what backers get first.

I’m afraid if they tell me it’s black I’ll have to buy one of the other ones and that’s irresponsible. P sure I would’ve just got the cheapest one so probably black.
