realistically how much does this album art situation actually hurt them?

 

if this was like their third album, I wonder how I would feel about it. I feel like I like it more because my musical taste has grown a lot recently.

 

I love this record. More thoughts in it after a good night of sleep. Didn't expect them to put out a mix of alt rock and early 00's emo. Lots of Anadivine and Further Seems Forever vibes. It feels like THE album songs like Ten Talents, Whoa Man, and Crumbling would have found their place on.

Never really got into Emery, liked a few of their songs, but if whatever I am about to listen to is like the song posted on page 4 or 5 then I'm fucking in.

Yoooo holy fuck, 4 songs in and it's great, "Jesus Wept" almost made me weep from happiness. Physical copies for pre-order anywhere? Trying to get a vinyl of this if possible.

 

I think it’ll keep a small amount of people from ordering the vinyl. I won’t. It’s the same thing with the hotelier, I just don’t like naked people on album art, haha.

 

I don’t think the album art will hurt them. Not any more than promoting their own leak, at least. I feel like even most of the people complaining about the art on Instagram will at least stream this on Spotify when it comes out, or check out the leak, which may eventually lead to an actual purchase.
