The cover art post on their IG is full of people saying it “contradicts scripture.” One person said they think it’s just a random image the band found online and that they’re trying to troll people with it. One person said, seemingly seriously, that they had been considering “auditioning” for Emery (?) but that now they certainly would not.
This is dope, but I might need to wait until I let MWY and Coheed (once I listen) settle before I can really pay good attention to it. I liked it though. Initially it sounds just as good as any post-ISSWS output.
Any thoughts on what to do if you're a backer and got no email about this? I don't even see a link on the indiegogo page
Just harass bad Christian. They will get it to you. Devin runs it, he’s good with getting back to people.
They're saved to a word file currently, I haven't had enough time to dive into this properly yet Everything She Offered Me is going to be the only track regularly skipped here, "On My Teeth" vibes are too undeniable. Given the band's close relationship with Underoath and how many times Matt/Toby said they listened to Erase Me, that particular melody feels reaaaally cheap. Do you have Skype?
Check your emails and delete your 320kbps copy, everybody! The band just emailed a lossless audio version of Eve to all backers.
this was one of two songs my 4-year old was dancing to earlier today, the other was Streets of Gold. She was full on ballerina sprint-jumping through the house. Breaks your heart in the best way
You must feel really loose after that big stretch. But for real though. I see what you're talking about it, but it's just a small part of the song. The vibe of the song is 100% different. I'm interested to hear these fan interpretations of this song though.
I wish, haven't felt loose since high school soccer warm-ups unfortunately. Getting old sucks. You think it was that big of a stretch? The BCPOD and Break It Down had numerous episodes with Underoath members on Erase Me discussing the album. I guess my head went to, "there's no way Emery didn't hear this chorus before recording Everything She Offered Me," but maybe the band recorded this song a long time ago and already had the melody in place. You're totally right about this. It's only a personal takeaway, don't know why my grey matter has decided this is the obnoxious song on the album yet - there's something else besides the On My Teeth similarities but again I haven't spent enough time with it to figure out why it's annoying. Still feel the same way about Go Wrong Young Man on YWNA ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can see what you mean. They both have pretty unremarkable melodies that really follow the guitars, but at the same time, I still really enjoy both.
