Holy shit this new song is super catchy. So apparently they are doing a similar vibe change what Deaf Havana did with their new record. Honestly I'm up for it.
On a certain place where kings live. I can't get over how good this is. They could tour with Bad Rabbits or Don Broco with this sound.
Am I crazy in thinking that his vocals sound a BIT more buried than I would want them to be on it? Like not an extraordinary amount, but I wish they were boosted up just a tad more over the instrumentals. Cool song though.
I had the same thoughts, especially during the last chorus, which whould have popped off a little bit more if his ad libs were more in the forefront.
I saw a live video of the song a friend sent me a few days ago and I have the same thoughts, it's my one real complaint about the production... the ad libs live are sick because their bassist Robert is singing the main hook by himself, and Bradley is just belting out the ad lib vocals. In the studio version you can barely hear them.
Song is amazing. Don't think a single from an album ever made me want to listen to a full album this much.
I'm definitely a fan but I feel like the vocals are almost being held back on this one. Especially on the chorus. With Bradley's range- he would literally belt those lyrics out. Instead, you just hear it in the background very faintly. Also: that Sax. GOD. DAMN.
Yeah I do appreciate that the change was gradual. It doesn't feel too different from the previous two albums, yet it is a bit of a departure.
One of my favorite moments (if not my absolute favorite) on any Emarosa song ever is at 2:30 at But You Won't Love a Ghost. It still gives me chills every time.
Yeah I think they did it right personally because 1) 131 is incredible and 2) it doesn't feel jarring like a drastic change just happened out of nowhere.
