Yeah, I think it’s a cool tour package honestly. I think a lot of people who like Bradley-era Emarosa would like DIVISI, and vice versa.
I wish I liked Divisi as much as i liked their previous two. It's not just a "Kurt's not the singer anymore" thing either. It feels pretty watered down from a songwriting standpoint, even compared to No Place.
I still dig it. The singles aren’t all that representative of the album either, there’s a lot more musical diversity than on those three tracks.
Divisi was ok but I didn't really like that dude as a screamer either. Kurt was the only thing I loved about them.
Not a huge fan of Bradley since I think he can be a bit of a drama queen, but Jonny is a nightmare of a human being and Emarosa (and DGD) are far better off without him. Have not and will never buy a Slaves album or anything else he ever does.
Apparently Emarosa is in Philly and I think they're recording. This leads me to believe they're working with Will Yip, which would be...not ideal...but Yip surprises me sometimes so hey
Really? those are two albums I really think he botched. He did a great job with Menzingers and did pretty good with Circa. His work with Pianos is also consistently great.
Normally I find LD a little overbearing and not the most enjoyable to listen to, but that record was their best, it just was missing some urgency, same with PH though it's their best record since B,S.
I was nervous that Emarosa was ending and that Bradley was going solo. I follow him on insta and I just had this gut feeling... So I’m happy as hell to be wrong on this since 131 is fantastic and I want a follow up! It’s a shame they aren’t recording with Casey again though. He did a killer job on 131..
