good flick but boy was it a bit too long

 

But like…how great was this movie? Made me feel like I need to step up my style.

Austin Butler killed it.

 

This isn't "$20 to rent of Amazon" good is it?

This feels like it was edited by someone on like 6 different uppers. The music editing in particular was super annoying and gave me a headache.

 

this was neat. great soundtrack too. and i hate elvis

 

Expected to not like this, ended up loving it! Give me the 4 hour cut!

 

Zack Snyder has ruined film.

But seriously I think this is just Baz being insane in the best way possible

 

I think he's just trolling, too. But this idea that not just releasing the assembly cut is somehow robbing the audience is nuts.

 

This was quite bad. It goes from incomprehensible in the first 30 minutes to unbearably dull for the rest of it. Honestly, the best scene was the Walk Hard swooning bit.

 

Tom Hanks looks and sounds ridiculous, but why does Elvis' head look like that? He looks like a plastic toy.

 

The scene where they zoom in on the "whorehouse dancers" as Tom Hanks protests is the funniest scene of the year.

 

I loved this

 

In a shocker Butler took GG for actor in a drama over The Whale.

 

Good

 

I haven’t seen the whale and I’ve heard he was great in it but god damn was butler ridiculously good in this. Also one thing that became exceedingly obvious as the movie went on is that Vegas era Elvis matched the flashiness of Baz’s style over all the others, it all came together for me during that stretch.

 

he was so damn good I’m not surprised to hear it stuck lol

 

Imagine Daniel day Lewis talking like Daniel plainview forever and in all his subsequent roles. Reynolds Woodcock but he talks like Daniel Plainview. Now there’s a good idea.
