i’m sure the accent comes much more naturally to both of them than … tom hanks lol also christoph looks a lot closer to parker to where you probably don’t need the insane prosthetics
Austin Butler was really phenomenal, but man the rest of this movie was just a little much for me, but still somehow boring at the same time.
this movie was like a full on sprint until it became dead in the water. yet somehow, i was compelled the whole time to never look away. it wasn't good. but it wasn't bad. Butler was great.
Finally got around to this. This rocked. Maybe the most I’ve ever enjoyed a music biopic. Baz is a madman behind the camera. And I am someone that hates Bohemian Rhapsody with every fiber of my being.
It wasn’t great but it’s not bad. Would consider this very entertaining though. Tom Hanks was godawful—not sure why he portrayed the role that way.
Regardless of how I felt about it, that scene where Elvis first performs and it's like the audience's first collective sexual experience is pretty amazing.
See it for yourself and decide. Personally I thought this was great. And I'm someone that thought Bohemian Rhaposdy was one of the worst movies i've seen in theaters in the last 5 years
Honestly, love it or hate it, it’s great to have a major studio wide release with a distinct directorial style and the ability to feel strongly about it, rather than focus-grouped product that feels like empty calories
This has its flaws but the thing I LOVE is how Baz gets right to the heart of how every genre overlaps. The beating heart and frenzied energy that blurs rock, gospel, country, rock & roll, and awesomely, hip-hop. It's all the same primal thing at its core and Elvis' skill was delivering that (and sex appeal) to the audience.
Hm. This was a difficult one. Super boring at times while also being so fucking weird haha. Hanks was insane. Elvis was so hot and had some bangers, huh (in addition to being a pedophile, obviously)
