Delirium tour was an absolute blast

 

oh no she was good as a performer I just didn't enjoy the show because she kept playing acoustic songs alone which I'm just personally not into.

 

I saw her support John Mayer back when she was touring Lights and it's what got me into her.

 

Ditto. Not into the slow songs. Give me bangers.

 

I only really listen to 2 of them anymore and the recent singles haven't been good but hell yeah get his ass Ellie

 

Yeah that's a bullshit dig from Matty. Her albums are complete pieces or work despite having hit singles that are part of them.

 

And they’re not boring like his music even at her worse

Halcyon is a perfect album, and both the others are good listens too. Feels like such an odd person to attack for this of all people

I can't even keep up with this timeline.

That said I don't disagree with him entirely. Just release an album instead of these half baked standalone singles she's been giving us recently. It has been way too long since Delirium that many people are probably moving on to artists who aren't stuck in limbo.

 

I'd agree with him if it weren't for Lights and Halcyon but they came out before The 1975 had even put out an album..

 

Delirium had absurd streaming numbers/amazing crowd interaction on that tour.

 

and again, regardless of sales, her albums are indeed complete bodies of work, not just singles with filler

Maybe people just want to inspire her to finally put out another good album.

I would really compare Ellie and 1975 since they do such vastly different things, but La Roux is definitely on the bottom of the list.
