Elite 8 (Old Dramas): The Sopranos vs. The Wire

The Sopranos changed television. The Wire became a cult favorite. Which is the best "old drama"?

I know most probably have these are top two dramas but the Wire slots in at #3 for me. Sopranos takes it

Yeah I love The Wire but The Sopranos with just the dream sequences, character arcs, comedy, and it’s tackling of mental health is what puts it at the top for me.

 

Also maybe the best music cues of any show ever. You have your old Italian favorites interspersed with classic rock, techno, and some really deep cuts.

 

Someone at this Super Bowl party thought that Meadow, Carmela, and AJ died at the end of the show. I've never heard this before.

Why would the gunman start blasting everyone? They run immediately after the job is done.

 

This person later went on to say that the commercial suggested that Meadow is the new boss. How can you be that bad at watching a TV show?
