ELHAE - Trouble in Paradise (February 22, 2019)

Liking this a lot. Giving me a lot of those Miguel vibes in places

 

Will check this out. I dug his previous stuff a lot.

 

"Hennessy" has been stuck in my head all week. Album is great.

 

I'm about to check this out right now. I'm always happy to see Sevyn Streeter on a track.

 

I'm really enjoying this. I'm not sure don't think I was aware of him before, or at least not really.

 

Also shoutout to wronged woman voicemail clips, a classic trope

 

This reminds me, I really need to revisit her debut album. I don't feel like I spent enough time with it but I remember really enjoying it

 

It wasn't very consistent in my opinion, too many sounds that sounded like the label made her do them if you ask me, but the high points were really high

 

Any tracks in particular you'd recommend I revisit?

 

I just skimmed through it again to answer your question and I might have been misremembering things. There's tracks on there that don't do it for me I guess but I not in the way I thought. I remember it having too many generic pop songs, but it doesn't. Basically, listen to the whole album, haha.

Also Anything U Want and Been A Minute are still such bangers.
