This is... uh, not great. I was really hoping Max's influence would never really enter Eisley, and this song is why. The production is rough, and the music manages to have too much and too little happening at the same time. Like, it's super chaotic but also sounds empty. Max's more recent lo-fi style is fine for Say Anything or that second Two Tongues record, but Eisley is closer to Copeland than anything Max has done and this just doesn't work for Eisley imo. This should have been a Perma or Sherry solo song. It would still be a bad song, but at least it wouldn't be attached to Eisley.
It seems like Sherry is Eisley at this point. You would think after being absent for multiple years you’d want to show up again showing your best cards. Yeah, this could’ve been better.
Why isn't this a Perma song? Would love another Eisley album, but from following Sherry, I never get the impression Eisley is something that will play a big part in her future. Would love to be wrong.
Didn’t realise Sherry didn’t talk to her siblings, until she posted about it on Insta today. Pretty sad.
the very short version is that it seems Sherri and Max's lifestyles (not schooling or home schooling their kids) has led to issues with the rest of the family, even having CPS called on them. Obviously there's much deeper layers, but all the other siblings are still close and friends, but none of the siblings are close with Sherri or even follow her on socials anymore
