No, and I’ve heard it’s good, but I soured on Sennott and need to give it some time before I give it a fair shake
It is way better than Bottoms (which I apparently gave 4.5 stars to on LB, but my opinion of that movie definitely sunk a bit when I tried rewatching it although I still like it more than you did). I love Rachel Sennott although her new show has me reconsidering, lol.
this is still such a specifically strange opinion from you, lol from everything I've read/heard, no. serviceable, but bland
I liked bottoms more than shiva baby. I am also kinda down on Sennott and her new show isn’t helping lol.
At most, I am being a bit hyperbolic bc of how widely praised that POS was. I am directly in the wheelhouse for an absurdist spoof teen comedy, and it stunk. I feel like I was hungover when I watched it so that didn’t help, but there are far too many movies that I haven’t seen to ever give it another shot
Avatar 2 the way of water and it’s not the best movie ever created but it is An Experience in 3D at the theater
how old was the guy who directed Didi last year? given the time it was set im guessing he was a milennial but who knows edit: same age as victor, yeah
Avatar The Way of Water is absolutely in the conversation with the lord of the rings trilogy and Mad Max Fury Road for one of the absolute best blockbusters of the 21st century. Bottoms > Shiva Baby. Sennott’s HBO show is kinda bad Anyway, I should give Eddington another watch now that it’s on HBO Max. It’s grown a lot for me since I’ve seen it and is firmly in my top 5 of the year.
I don't even know what show you guys were talking about, but I just looked and it only has two episodes out, lol
I fucking loved this This would make a great double feature with Bugonia. Both films feel like they will end up on "movies to watch to understand the 2020's" lists in 2030.
This was great. Really feels like the first Aster movie to break out of his mold…even if Beau was a step in the right direction. I don’t think any of his movies are masterpieces, however one of the few young-ish directors with a distinct voice. excited to see what he does next
The woke teen gen z white guy immediately becoming a conservative influencer grifter in the aftermath was perfect
